About the work
ATINUM is delivering drone inspection services for Saudi Aramco's Western Region terminals across Jeddah, Jizan, Rabigh, and Yanbu. The ongoing project covers internal and external inspections of storage tanks, marine berths, loading arms, elevated pipelines, and building structures. Using specialized drone technology, ATINUM conducts close visual assessments of hard-to-reach areas to identify potential defects such as corrosion, cracks, coating deterioration, and structural damage. The project supports safer and more efficient inspection operations while providing documented inspection findings to assist with asset condition assessment and maintenance planning.
Objective
- Conduct internal and external drone inspections of storage tanks, marine berths, pipelines, and building structures
- Identify visible defects, including corrosion, cracks, coating damage, and structural deterioration
- Access elevated, confined, and hard-to-reach areas using suitable drone inspection technology
- Reduce personnel exposure to hazardous locations and minimize reliance on conventional access methods
- Provide documented inspection findings to support asset condition assessment and maintenance planning
Goal
To improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of industrial asset inspections across Saudi Aramco's Western Region terminals through drone technology, enabling faster condition assessments, better maintenance planning, and reduced exposure to hazardous and hard-to-reach areas.

- Ongoing internal and external visual inspections of storage tanks, including shell plates, roofs, welds, coatings, and support structures
- Inspection of marine berths, loading arms, underdeck areas, fender systems, and associated structures
- Visual condition assessments of elevated pipelines, connections, welds, and protective coatings
- Inspection of building roofs, walls, columns, beams, and other difficult-to-access structural elements
- Identification and documentation of visible defects, including corrosion, cracks, and coating deterioration
